Easter Lottery by the Ukrainian Daughters Foundation
Date: Sunday, April 12
Details: Participate in an Easter lottery by donating $15 for two tickets. Donations can be made via the link in the profile bio or through Zelle or PayPal to the Ukrainian Daughters Foundation. To enter, send a screenshot to [email protected] for the chance to win a beautiful Kosiv rug, jewelry, and other artistic items.
Members’ Meeting at the Ukrainian National Museum
Date: Saturday, April 18, at 4 PM
Details: Members are invited to elect a new board. Voting rights and the ability to run for the board are exclusive to members who have paid their dues. More information can be found on the museum’s website.
Art Exhibition: “It Will Destroy You”
Location: Ukrainian Institute of Modern Art, 2320 W Chicago Ave
Details: An exhibit featuring 23 contemporary artists that explores the decay of systems governing life. Open until April 19.
“Woman from Los Angeles” Exhibition
Location: Ukrainian Institute of Modern Art, 2320 W Chicago Ave
Details: This exhibition commemorates filmmaker and artist Orysia Antonovych. Admission is $10.
Lecture Series at Ukrainian Institute of Modern Art
Date: Sunday, April 26, at 2 PM
Details: Professor Valeria Sobol and student Joseph Mosse from the Ukrainian Studies Department at the University of Illinois will discuss the history of Kyiv and writer Natalena Koroleva’s creative journey.
Benefit Evening for Kyiv-Mohyla Academy
Date: Saturday, May 2, at 6 PM
Location: Ukrainian Institute of Modern Art, 2320 W Chicago Ave
Details: Funds raised will support scholarships for talented students in Ukraine.
Annual Benefit Banquet
Date: Saturday, May 30

Details: Cocktails begin at 6:30 PM, followed by dinner and a program at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $150 available on the Institute’s website.
“Sip and Paint” Workshop
When: Every third Saturday of the month, from 5 to 7 PM

Easter Market by the Sisterhood of St. Sophia
Dates: Saturdays, March 28 and April 4; Sundays, March 29 and April 5, from 9 AM to 2 PM

Spring Carols and Games

Details: Activities will follow the blessing of Easter breads.
Easter Food Fair

Details: Purchase Easter bread, smoked meats, and sweet cookies.
Charitable Festival: “Easter Games”
Date: Friday, May 3
Location: Ukrainian Orthodox Church of St. Michael, 1475 W Algonquin Rd, Palatine
Details: All proceeds will support Ukrainian soldiers and their families.
Heroes Day Celebration
Date: Sunday, May 31, at 1 PM
Location: Ukrainian National Museum, 2249 W Superior St, Chicago
Details: Honoring Symon Petliura, featuring historian Oleksandr Alfiorov and performances by the SUM choir and other musical groups.
