About
Protez Foundation is a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing free prosthetics and rehabilitation support for Ukrainians who have lost limbs, including children, civilians, and soldiers affected by the war. The foundation helps patients through the full recovery journey, from application and prosthetic fitting to personalized training, emotional support, rehabilitation, and follow-up care in Ukraine.
The organization provides state-of-the-art prosthetic devices, individualized support in the United States, logistics assistance, mental health support, and continued care after patients return home. Its work is focused not only on restoring mobility, but also on helping people regain independence, confidence, quality of life, and the ability to return to family, work, education, and community life.
Beyond direct patient care, Protez Foundation supports the long-term development of prosthetics and rehabilitation capacity in Ukraine through Protez Academy, specialist training, partnerships with medical institutions, and cooperation with international organizations. By combining donor support, professional expertise, volunteer involvement, and Ukraine-based follow-up infrastructure, the foundation helps strengthen a sustainable rehabilitation ecosystem for people affected by limb loss.
