Illinois Circuit Courts are the trial courts of the State of Illinois and serve as the courts of original jurisdiction for most legal matters brought within the state. These courts handle civil, criminal, traffic, family, probate, juvenile, and other case types across Illinois counties and judicial circuits.
The official Illinois Courts website provides public access to Circuit Court listings, court locations, chief judges and administrative staff, circuit court clerks, jury information, judicial directories, court resources, statistical dashboards, and information about how trial courts operate within the Illinois judicial system. Illinois has 25 judicial circuits, each administered by a chief judge and supported by court clerks and administrative staff.
