About
Kyiv-Mohyla Foundation of America is a U.S.-based nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy in Ukraine. The foundation was created by friends of NaUKMA in the United States to strengthen modern higher education in Ukraine and help prepare future leaders through academic excellence, democratic values, global cooperation, and sustained institutional support.
The foundation’s work includes fundraising campaigns, scholarships, emergency assistance for students and faculty affected by the war, support for academic programs, student and faculty exchanges, volunteer engagement, digital infrastructure, and initiatives that strengthen governance, civil society, public policy, rule of law, and human rights. Through donor support, KMFA helps NaUKMA continue teaching, researching, and serving Ukrainian society during wartime and long-term recovery.
Beyond educational support, Kyiv-Mohyla Foundation of America serves as a bridge between Ukraine and the Ukrainian-American community, alumni, donors, academic partners, and friends of Ukrainian higher education. By investing in NaUKMA’s students, faculty, programs, and institutional resilience, the foundation contributes to Ukraine’s intellectual capacity, democratic development, and future reconstruction.
