Charity as Part of the Mission

One of the most meaningful elements of the evening was its charitable component. As part of the event, guests supported a fundraising initiative aimed at helping children in Ukraine, including support for initiatives connected to the children’s hospice “Dim Metelykiv”.
For the organizers, this charitable direction was not an addition to the program, but an essential part of the event’s purpose. Alex Balbus and Sviatoslav Lukynych of URC Life said,

For us, it was important that this event would create value not only for the Ukrainian diaspora in the U.S., but also bring real impact for Ukraine. From the very beginning, we included charity as one of the key directions of the project. This evening showed that community events can do more than bring people together - they can also become a real instrument of support.

Realizing the URC Mission

For Ukrainian Roots Community, Women’s Identity Dinner became a practical expression of its broader mission: to build a modern, connected, and active Ukrainian community ecosystem in the United States.
